Transportation Design

SR 826 / Palmetto Expressway Segment 5

Client: FDOT District 6 TYLIN International
Location: Miami-Dade County, Florida

PHD is pleased to support our friends at TYLIN International in this Conventional Design project in Miami-Dade County to help alleviate Palmetto Expressway’s traffic problems.

We are developing TTCP plans for this project which involve the full reconstruction of SR 826 / Palmetto Expressway from East of NW 42nd Avenue to East of NW 32nd Avenue. The project scope includes interchange improvements at NW 37th Avenue, bridge replacements at NW 37th Avenue and NW 32nd Avenue, major utility relocation and right-of-way acquisition.

This project also includes coordinating the construction of approx. 8 miles on SR 826 which will be happening simultaneously. For this project, we will have to maintain three lanes of traffic in each direction on SR 826 and maintain access to business and properties along NW 37th Avenue, NW 32nd Avenue and on Frontage Roads.

Think like TYLIN International... Think Big!!!
